Clinical Supervision

Counselors and Therapists in Training

Professional Oversight and Support
Clinical supervision is required for all counselors and social workers seeking professional licenses (LMSW, LCSW, LAPC, LPC, etc.).  See Georgia Chapter 135-5 REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSURE.

Supervision is the direct clinical review of client case interactions (e.g. case notes and presentations, recordings, etc.), and direct observation of the practitioner's clinical skills. It is a crucial component to learning, growing, and being a successful licensed professional.
This oversight and support enhances the learning clinician's clinical expertise while ensuring the maintenance of professional ethical standards and the consistent delivery of excellent client care.
