My career has been focused on creating therapeutic relationships with adolescents and their families to give them the additional support they need. I specialize in trauma, divorce/custody, individual, relationship, family counseling, and LGBT concerns.​

Much of my experience and training has been in the area of dealing with troubled youth and their families. I have over twenty years of experience providing counseling services which include eleven years leading group counseling sessions with adolescents and adults.
I view that it is my responsibility in a counseling setting to provide a connection by being open minded and able to adjust to understanding the presenting needs of my clients. I have a holistic approach to examining issues that can lead to seeking therapeutic support. It is my goal to assist my clients gain a clearer perspective so they can make wise choices and decisions for their lives. It will be my focus to move my clients forward in a direction that feels healthier for them.
My Training and Experience
I received my graduate degree in 1993 from University of West Georgia in Psychology. I've worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice as a Probation Officer, NE GA Public Health District 2 as a Counselor, and Morningstar Treatment Services as a Therapist until joining Pathways Transition Programs, INC in 2012.
